Beth most recently worked as Senior Lecturer in the College of Education in the Department of Instruction and Teacher Education at the University of South Carolina for 12 years. She has over 32 years of experience in education. Her specialty area is teaching and coaching teachers and preservice teachers with a passion for literacy. Her work has led her to provide professional development for teachers, particularly in literacy, emergency medical technicians, and a nursing faculty academy for the SC Technical College System. Beth helped develop graduate courses at the UofSC for candidates pursuing an alternative certification route in the Carolina Collaborative for Alternative Certification (CarolinaCAP).  Currently, she teaches candidates in the program. Starting her own business, Beth White Education Consultant, LLC, is her most recent adventure. She resides in Columbia, SC, with her husband and family. She has three children. One of whom is married and a teacher. The other two are college students.
